In numerous cultures of the world, there exists the myth of the “Great Flood” as the genesis of the universe, a legend of our origin that transcends ethnicity and geography. In a society that values scientific evidences, are these myths fictitious musings on time and space by our ancestors? Or are these myths collective records of what actually happened?
Yu LIU excels at extracting relevant fragments of space, history, images, and descriptions from texts, using various forms of expression—such as video, installation, text, and sound—to create tightly knit narrative projects.
